You think someone has used your data and there is a criminal case in your name. Report the problem, but also have it assessed immediately what response is required in the criminal case.
Discuss what the identification is based on. A wrong name, misuse of a document and a used account are different situations. Ask what data is actually linked to you.
Save original messages and documents that could substantiate abuse. Make a note of when you discovered it and what report you made. Separate suspicions about the perpetrator from established facts.
A report of identity fraud does not replace an objection, appeal or other necessary response. Have the decision received and the applicable deadline assessed immediately by legal assistance.
Discuss which registration is incorrect and which agency requires correction. A correction in one system does not automatically update all other registrations. Check the result with each authority.
Record which notifications, correction requests and process steps have been made. Save receipts and decisions. Ask your attorney what parts are still outstanding before assuming the problem has been resolved.
