You cannot comply with a condition of temporary release from pre-trial detention. Find the court's decision and read the precise condition, dates and any exceptions with your lawyer.
Record the event and the practical obstacle. Keep appointment messages or medical information where relevant. An allegation of breach still needs careful examination of the facts and condition.
Tell your lawyer and the supervising service about the problem promptly. Explain what has already happened and what may happen next. Do not wait until a missed appointment becomes harder to explain.
Prepare a realistic alternative with supporting documents. Ask who has authority to change the condition. Informal permission or changed circumstances do not automatically amend the court's order.
Ending the suspension of pre-trial detention can mean a return to custody. That differs from ending pre-trial detention itself. Ask your lawyer what decision is actually being considered.
Save all responses and formal decisions. Ask which requirements remain in force while a request is considered. Do not assume that making a request itself authorises a departure from the condition.
