Criminal Law in the Netherlands.

Your account has been used for cash flows and you are called a money mule. Ask what criminal charge is being referred to. A bank blockade, civil claim and criminal case have different assessment frameworks.

Note who had access to the account, card, telephone and login tools. Describe when access changed and what warnings you received. Separate your own actions and assumptions about others.

Save original conversations and bank details. Make visible which contacts and money movements belong together. Do not cut or alter material to make the story simpler or more favorable.

Being the account holder is an important fact. Criminal responsibility also requires examination of your actions, what you knew and the specific allegation. Discuss these questions separately with your lawyer.

A response to the bank is not automatically a response in the criminal case. Discuss what information you provide to which party and what consequences a statement may have.

Take official letters and your timeline to your lawyer. In addition, check pending bank queries and damage claims. Determine for each procedure what response is required and who monitors the deadline.
