Advertising and white label

The income from our legal websites comes exclusively from the rental of advertising space. This also includes white label agreements. Here we explain what that means for visitors.

Text version

Who rents the advertising space for the callback widget?

The advertising space near the callback widget on Strafrecht in Nederland is rented by VDS International S.A.

  • Advertiser and tenant: VDS International S.A.
  • Country: Panama
  • Folio number (Panama): 155777850

That is why we mention 'Advertisement' with this commercial placement. The website itself falls under the trade name jurismedia.nl of Van der Spoel Development, Chamber of Commerce 89615395.

A listing as a tenant of advertising space does not in itself indicate who handles a request for assistance or receives personal data. That role and the route of your data should be clear in the contact request. Also read our Privacy Statement.

What do advertisers pay for?

Advertisers pay for agreed advertising space and presentation on our websites. With a white label presentation, the services of another provider can be offered within an agreed presentation. It must remain clear to a visitor which provider provides the service and to whom a contact request goes.

Read the explanation of our revenue model and the financial information that requires further elaboration on Transparency and accountability.

How should commercial visibility be recognised?

The starting point is that a visitor can recognize paid visibility as such. An advertisement should not be presented as an independent legal approval. The name of a provider, the relationship to the offer and the route of a request must be understandable.

If you find a presentation unclear, you can report it. An agreement between an advertiser and the company in itself says nothing about the quality of a lawyer or the chance of a certain outcome in a case.

What types of entries are there?

  • An advertisement: agreed paid visibility.
  • A source citation: a reference that helps substantiate a fact, explanation or statement.
  • An editorial mention: information about someone relevant to the topic, for example the lawyer in a case discussed.
  • A legal review: a separate approval of a particular content version by a verified professional.

These roles should not be confused. For example, a source link or a name accompanying a statement does not prove that payment has been made for that statement.

What does this mean for your personal data?

Renting advertising space is not the same as selling a visitor base. For a request for help or contact, it must be clear which data is required, for what purpose it is processed and whether it will be shared with an appropriate lawyer or other recipient. That explanation can be found with the function and in our Privacy Statement.

For possible use of cookies and visitor measurements, we refer separately to the Cookies and privacy choices. An advertisement in itself does not give permission for tracking.

Report a listing or discuss space

You can report an unclear or possibly misleading presentation via redactie@jurismedia.nl, with the page link and a brief explanation. For business inquiries about advertising space, use this email subject. Specific conditions regarding space, duration and price should be included in the separate agreements.
